the subject for overlooked #2 was something that you collect. the first thing that came into my mind was my matchbook collection. i started to collect my matchbooks about 6 years ago.
at first they were matchbooks from restaurants that my hubby and i went to. then i started to find small bags of them at thrift stores and antique shops and couldn't pass them up.
my favorite matchbooks are some that my parents gave me from K&B drug store. it was a store in NOLA that we went to a lot when we were growing up.
my most memorable matchbooks are ones that my hubby and i got from Las Vegas. we went to a lot of the casinos the got the matchbooks.
right now my matchbooks sit in two glass jars on top of my book shelf in the den.
GREAT pictures!!! And I think that matchbooks are a great thing to collect. It can really bring back memories, huh?

ReplyDeleteI agree ... that matchbooks are a fun thing to collect. I like that they're small, cheap, and you can display them so creatively. Very cool.
