Baby Room

this little owl is on the quilt and curtins that are in her room

they were mine when i was a baby

i love this lamp

it was my neighbors from growing up and it was originally green (which is my fave color) but it wasn't the right color green for her room so i decided to spray piant it (ballet slipper) and then to paint the raised flowers on it and this is how it turned out. i am pleased with it too.

i love to check out the pioneer woman's site and she frequently has pics that looks something like this only it's her hubby or other cowboys that work on there. this is my son after a day on my father in laws land. riding 4 wheelers, playing in the dirt, attempting to use a hammer(which he is pretty good at) feeding the goats and donkey's, that sort of stuff. just being a boy. i love these pics. they came out just right.

Dishing It Blog Party

Amanda over at Serenity Now is hosting a blog party called Dishing it
this is my first party and i am excited to see how it goes and check out some other cool blogs.

here are a couple of questions that she wanted answered for the blog party:

How long have you been blogging?
i started blogging back in 2005.

Why did you start blogging?
a friend of mine had a blog that i would frequently read and thought that it would be something fun to do and a good way to keep up with friends.

Tell me about you blogs title. Why did you choose it?
my blog title is My Spot. i love polka dots and so i think that it would be fun to have it titled my spot (like a dot) and also because then i could change out the back grounds with different polka dots. and it's my very own spot on the web that i can have and do with what i want. :)

What do you blog about?
nothing really specific. anything and everything. but looking at my lable cloud it looks like i blog a lot about my son.

What's your favorite thing about blogging?
connecting with friends and family and giving them some insite into the things that may or may not be going on with us.
