P

on thursday i noticed little guys first tooth. i was sitting with him watching him gnaw on an apple slice the i gave him and realized that it had been about three days since i'd rubbed his gums in search of a tooth. as i put my finger in his mouth to check i felt the sharp edges of his first tooth. i was so excited. i called his dad to let him know and then i called honey (my mom) and let her know. they were both excited. my hubby because that may have been the answer to our sleepless nights, waking up with him and my mom because she rejoices with any news she hears about little guy. so, back to the title of this post...."P" the tooth is the lower right central and in dental terms it is tooth letter P.

Theater...

...i just love it. not so much the acting part, but the watching, although when i was a kid i was in a couple of children's choir plays at church. two that come to mind are Down by the Creek Bank
and We Like Sheep. maybe that is what started my love for the theater. but i don't think i'm gutsy enough to act in a play now.

my parents took me to see my first Broadway theater production of Cats, when i was 12 or 13, and i love, love, loved it. at 16 i saw the Broadway theater production of Phantom of the Opera,
Annie, Kiss Me Kate, and a high school production of Bye,Bye Birdie.

in college my husband and i saw the Broadway theater production of Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, and Les Miserables.

then when we lived in WA state we saw the Broadway theater production of The Lion King and a youth theater production of Godspell and Cinderella.
i've loved them all and hope to one day see Wicked and Mary Poppins.

until then i am content to see a local high schools theater productions. last week my hubby and i went to see their production of Les Miserables. it was so good that i am going again this weekend to see it with some friends. last year we saw them do beauty and the beast.
they truly are amazing.

Independance

little guy has just found his Independence. well, at least that's what i'm going to call it. i count myself lucky to have had my cuddly boy for as long as i have. he's nearly 9 months old and it's just recently that once he's done with his bottle he's pushing out of my arms to get down. i know it's the next step and it's good because he's growing but that's just it he's growing up. he is still really cuddly for some nap times and when it's time to go to sleep though so that's still great times for me.

Clapping

little guy has been clapping for a little over a week now. i think that it is one of his favorite things to do. as you may remember over the last 5 months the kid has been amazed with his hands. i wondered if he would ever find his feet because he loved looking at his hands so much. now not only can he see his hands and love them but he can clap them. it's great. he gets a big grin on his face and just claps, claps, claps. it's wonderful. he loves clapping so very much that last night after i fed him at 3:30 in the morning, i put him back in his bed and he was sleeping and clapping his hands. at first i thought oh great he woke up but when i looked closer his eyes were closed and he was just clapping away. he is so funny.
