Still Alive

it's been a long time since i've posted because we don't have a computer at home and if we did we wouldn't have internet access because it's an expense that we just can't have right now so that being said i don't get to get on the computer very much. but here i am. sawyer is doing really well. at his dr. apt on monday he weighed 5lbs 5oz. he's growing every day. my mom left on wednesday so it's just been me and him during the day. it's been great but i am tired. on thursday night he had his best night ever. he went 4 hours between feedings. i never thought i would see the day that i was happy to get 4 hours rest at a time. (well acutally it's less than that i guess but whatever)
we go back to the dr on monday for another weight check. he's still not nursing very well. the dr said that is will happen though just to keep working with him. he said that boys are just lazy. :)
not much else to report here. i'll try to post pics when i can just wanted to update about him. thanks for all the prayers. keep praying.

Yeah for the update...I forgot that you don't have a computer. Praying that you both get more sleep and that he gets bigger. Love you.

  5. Ohh, sleep is one of those things that is precious to a mother... Enjoy being able to nap during the day while you just have one! Patience is so important with feedings. Hang in there. Tuck would take a full hour the first 2 months (bairly staying latched on). Then all the sudden he got it. Then it only took him 10 min. total!!! All that just to say, I might get better!

  6. Glad to see you are still alive and kicking! :-) I think the hardest part about having such a little one is that their tummies are small so they eat more often. Orin was 6lbs when we brought him home and was only going 2.5 hours for quite a while. So Sawyer being even smaller and going 4 hours is great! And the great thing about nursing is that there isn't a time crunch - you can keep trying as long as you want and I'm sure he'll become a champ soon. Enjoy every day - it flies by too fast. I love the newborn stage!
