Meet Squiggly

i noticed squiggly about a week ago but didn't know exactly what he was. not a spider bite, random bug bite and not a reaction from a shot i got 4 weeks ago in the other arm. the next thought was ringworm, disgusting but true. oh and i named him squiggly (weird i know but what can you do). i am very grossed out by him (do ringworms have a sex?) and even more terrified that i'll actually spread him to a different part of my body. pray that he will vacate the premises soon. i was going to post a picture of him but thought 1. gross, 2. you've probably see one before and 3. gross again.

FYI: i know that a ringworm isn't actually a worm btw. :)

  1. They aren't? I thought the ringworm having sex comment was funny until you said they weren't really worms. I mean I know they aren't the garden-variety but are they a parasite?

I'm going to look it up. Sorry about your worm...

  2. thanks dr amber. i've been told that they aren't really a worm but i'm really not in the mood to find out. i've just been putting this anti fungal stuff the pharmacist told me to use on it. so i know it's a fungus (gross). thanks for finding humor in my pain. just joking...i've already done that. :) let me know what you find out.

  3. I once had ringworm on the upper part of my arm. At first I thought it was Lyme disease. I caught it from my outside cat (this was about 15yrs ago) It takes a while to go away and when it is gone you will still be able to see where it was. I was told it might spread (especially if you touch it then touch another part of your body), mine thankfully didnt spread!

Good luck and keep applying the anti fungal stuff

  4. ahhhhh! i don't want it to spread. i'm glad to hear that you had a success story with your ringworm. i'm trying to be really good about not touching unless i'm applying the cream and then i wash my hands right away.

mine is on the upper part of my arm too. we're still not sure where i got it from. the main place to get them is from cats but we don't have any. i still need to ask one of my friends if she's noticed anything on her cats. oh well. i'm just playing the waiting game.

  5. I was totally wrong about the RW thing! check out this website (I googled it and found that RW is also the name of a band -- random)

You don't have a parasite! (That's tapeworm I think and much worse!) The name comes from what the owie looks like and has nothing to do with what it is. This site was very helpful.
Sorry I was being crass. Hope I didn't offend. you know I love you!
