childhood friend

the first time we met i was just born.
she was 8 days old.
our dads were high school buddies.
our parents best friends from the time they were married on.
it was destined that we would be best friends forever, no matter where we were in life.
and we are.
we went to the same school for 6 years.
spent summers together on family vacations.
went to dancing school together.
she was a brides maid in my wedding.
the life of the party.
always making me laugh and smile.
there for me no matter what.
we were inseparable growing up.
even when her parents moved to a different state we stayed close.
and even though we are now miles apart we are forever connected.
she doesn't read my blog but i wanted to post this about her because today is her day.
