three of my favorite thursday tv shows....
1. smallville: i've always been a Superman junkie. i miss the first season of this show but my hubby and i happened to catch it on the summer reruns (i love reruns). we were instantly hooked. while there has been a lot of change in the show and many episodes that we didn't really like we still watch waiting to see where they will take the show next.
2. the office: i happened to watch one episode of the second season at my friends house and just loved it. it became one of our favorite shows really quick. it was just so funny. it's hard to explain why it just is.
3. greys anatomy: last year i watched a couple episodes here and there but never really watched it all the time. a friend of mine told me how great last years season finale was so i decided to watch it when they replayed it(reruns, great!) it turns out that it was really good so i have been watching this season. i love the drama, the humor, the screwed up lives of the people on the cast and just the personalities of all of them.
it's a lot of tv for one night, i know that's why i love our dvr. and you can watch a show in almost half the time.

????
will more questions be answered or will we just be more confused and have more questions after tonight's episode of lost. well we'll see. tune in for one of the best shows on television.
UPDATE: well i guess not to many of my questions got answered tonight and i definitely have more. so sun's pregnancy isn't a miracle of the island and did jae really jump off of the balcony or did someone else throw/push him? see, every answer is followed my a question. and still probably the question of the day, even though we've found out some more about the others, who are they? they say that they are the good guys but why are they so mean? many more questions floating around in my head but they would probably be a repeat of the last time i posted about lost. i leave you with maybe next week we'll have so answers, but i know that in reality we'll probably be just as confused as we are now.

Boxes
"From the inlaid jade and coral jewelry boxes of the Orient to the utilitarian salt boxes of the Pennsylvanian Dutch, the allure of the box has transcended all cultural and geographical boundaries of the world. The cigar box, the snuff box, the cash box, jewelry boxes more ornate that the treasure they hold, the ice box, and the candle box. Trunks, long and rectangular boxes covered with cowhide, stretched taut, and pounded with brass studs to a wooden frame. Oak boxes, sterling boxes; to the delight of the women, hat boxes and shoe boxes; and to the delight of all enslaved by a sweet tooth, candy boxes. The human life cycle no less than evolves around the box; from the open topped box called a bassinet, to the pine box we call a coffin, the box is our past and just as assuredly, our future. It should not surprise us then that the lowly box plays such a significant role in the first Christmas story. For Christmas began in a humble, hay-filled box of splintered wood. The Magi, wise men who had traveled far to see the infant King, laid treasure-filled boxes at the feet of the Holy Child. And in the end, when He had ransomed our sins with His blood, the Lord of Christmas was laid down in a box of stone. How fitting that each Christmas season brightly wrapped boxes skirt the pine boroughs of Christmas trees around the world. And more fitting that I learned of Christmas through a Christmas box." - Richard Paul Evans "The Christmas Box"
so keeping with the theme here is my life in a box or special boxes to me. as i look back i see boxes in all parts of my life and i'm sure there are even some that i don't remember or don't see.
as a little girl the boxes that my baby dolls came in (cabbage patch kids to be exact)
the old cardboard cigar box that i kept my treasures in
boxes of school supplies that remind me of when my sister and i would play school
the shoe boxes that i would keep letters in
not to mention the number of shoe boxes in my closet filled with shoes (i love shoes)
the wooden oak box that i got as a senior in high school that held special memories from high school
the cardboard boxes that now hold my high school memories
my jewelry boxes
packing up all the things in boxes to go away for college
the boom box (radio) that was in my dorm room my freshman year that put my roommate and i to sleep with sweet jars of clay music many nights that first year
the cedar box (chest) my dad made me that held special things through college
the box my engagement ring came in
packing up my college things in cardboard boxes when i got married
the large photo box, from my mother in law, that holds my wedding memories
packing more cardboard boxes to more across the country
the box that holds my beautiful nativity set from my parents
the photo boxes that hold many memories from Washington state
the box that holds most of my letters from my best friend
packing yet more cardboard boxes to move back across the country and that is where my life in a box remains for now. until we find a box most people call a house and move in and un-pack.
what are the special boxes in your life?

Three Things Thursday
i'm taking my three things thursday post from what i wrote on cheryl's blogs comments from a couple of days ago.
1. favorite memories from the past summer---my hubby and i went to fiji on a dental missions trip and had such an amazing time there. it was a huge blessing that we were able to go.
2. favorite things about fall---the smells, the chill outside, apple cider, pumpkin bread and muffins, pumpkin carving
3. favorite costumes---i don't normally dress up for halloween but last year some friends of ours had a murder mystery party and the theme was story book characters and i was to be the queen of hearts from alice and wonderland and that was lots of fun. i even won the best costume.

LOST
i've found myself lost on this island quite a few times. it's not recommended (by me) to watch one whole season in one week. i don't think you should watch 2 episodes in one sitting, but i've done it before. aside from getting into pretty much any show, movie, book that i'm watching/reading i was really into this season and trying to keep up with what is going on. i sometimes felt like i too was trapped on that island. the second season was pretty much the same too. i wasn't able to watch the whole season in one week but i needed more and more answers so craved the next episode every time i finished the previous one. needless to say there is much anticipation for the third season coming up. i just can't wait.
i still have unanswered questions but know that i'm not the only one.
i can't wrap my mind around how the writers come up with what to do next but maybe there are others out there that are thinking that too.
the still girly part of me still wants jack and kate to get together and maybe there are other out there who are thinking that to, (but i know that if they don't the show will still be awesome).
i want to know who the others really are.
how they got to the island.
what is their purpose.
why are they kidnapping people.
what are they going to do with jack, kate, and sawyer.
why do they call themselves the good guys.
what is up with the hatch.
did it really make the plane crash.
what about the other hatches.
who created them and where did all those people go.
how crazy that they finally have some contact with the world outside of the island.
what will come of that.
and how long will they make us wait to find out more about pen and the world outside of the island.
did locke and echo die
i'm sure there are more questions that i have but i also know that if posted then this post will be really, really long. and i'm sure that every one else has the same if not more questions. i guess we'll see soon. tomomrrow night. yippie!!!

FOOTBALL FEVER
this week was the week for football. out of the four games of teams that i was rooting for three of them won.
lets start with monday. on monday the N.O. Saints played the Falcons. all last season i was a fan of the falcons because i really liked michael vick. not that i don't like them anymore but this was the Saints first time back home in the dome. expectations, emotions and excitement was high. they pulled through and won.
then on thursday there were two games. while taping the auburn vs. south carolina game, we went to my hubby's highschool football game. it was homecoming. it was a really good game but in the end they lost which was sad only to redeem the sad fact by watching the auburn game to find out that they won. YEAH AUBURN!!!
that brings me to friday and my favorite of all. if you read my previous post from tuesday, i think, then you would know that that game was my high school john curtis vs hoover high (the #1 school in the nation, but not anymore.) that's right the patriots pulled through and beat the bucs. it was an awesome game. the bucs scored 2 touch downs in the 1st quarter. we scored 2 in the 2nd quarter, tying it up at the half and then we scored 2 more in the 3rd and the bucs didn't score again. the stadium was on fire and yelling and we had less than half of it full but were going wild. i was so happy that we were able to go. it was truly a great game. GO PATRIOTS

Three Things Thursday
1. if i got a tattoo...it would probably be somewhere on my upper back/shoulder blade area or the inside of my wrist. ( i don't know what i would get though)
2. if i got another piercing somewhere it would be a small one on my nose. (btw i only have my ears pierced and my mom had them done when i was like 3 months old)
3. i painted my finger nails black for the first time last month and liked it.
oooh scary. i have a dark side. :)

Angry Judges!!!
so i didn't watch all of "Dancing with the Stars" last night. i only caught the last 30 min of it and saw Joey, Vivica and Mario dance. i don't know if the judges were just in a mood or something last night but Joey and Mario did great to me and i was once again bored with Vivica's performance and the judges loved it. what is going on? and what did Emmitt and Cheryl do to get them the lowest score? was there anyone that the judges did like?
